FAQs

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

We are open daily from 8am to 6pm. If you would like to rent other times, please email us. 

 

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes! We have 8 parking spaces for your cast/crew vehicles. Our parking lot is 4,220 sThere’s also additional space for long trucks. Trucks larger than what can fit in our parking lot will need to obtain a permit for street parking via the city of LA or FilmLA.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM TIMEFRAME TO BOOK?

A 3-hour minimum is required for booking.

DO YOU ALLOW FOOD & DRINKS?

Food and drinks are allowed in designated spaces, but not on the cyc. There is a refrigerator in our fully functioning kitchen/breakroom set.

DO YOU PROVIDE CATERING?​

We do not provide catering but for an additional fee we can recommend our favorite vendors.

WHAT FOOD OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE NEARBY?

There are plenty of food options in our neighborhood but our personal favorite (and within a 5 minute drive) is Porto’s Bakery and Cafe; it is an LA staple good for breakfast, lunch, and dessert! We are also five minutes away from the historic Toluca Lake which is home to tons of good food and shops.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING FOR PHOTOGRAPHY/FILM?

You can book directly online or email us. 

WHAT IF I WANT TO RENT THE SPACE OUT FOR A POPUP/EVENT?

Our space is available for pop ups and events! At the front of our studio there is a designated store for your business’s merchandise and products. We’re also available for events if you’d like to rent out the entire facility.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WHEN RENTING THE ENTIRE STUDIO SPACE?

2 full studio spaces, 1 functioning kitchen and vanity set up, 2 bathrooms (one handicap bathroom, the other has three stalls available, and a functioning shower), a retail area that can be transformed into anything and a stunning hallway. Our parking lot is available for photography, events, or parking.

DO YOU RENT OUT EQUIPMENT AND HOW DO I BOOK IT?

Yes! We have a catalog of equipment you can rent out on our rentals page.

DO YOU RENT OUT PROPS?

Yes! We have a catalog of props you can rent out on our props rental page.

DO YOU HAVE BACKDROPS AVAILABLE?

Yes! We have a catalog of backdrops you can rent out on our props rental page.

DO YOU HAVE A CYC WALL?

Yes! We have one cyc wall!

DO YOU HAVE A SOUNDPROOF ROOM FOR VIDEO?

While our studio spaces are quiet they are not fully soundproof, the studio with the cyc has been fitted with soundproofing in the ceilings. That being said, onsite we have a professional grade ADR, soundproof booth - perfect for recording audio and voice overs!

DOES THE BURBANK AIRPORT AFFECT AUDIO RECORDING?

Being in close proximity to the airport can affect audio recording. That being said, we are in a take off only flight path and on our block, there are three professional recording studios that are fully functional. It’s not a super busy airport so you can avoid hearing planes altogether if you’re lucky. We have taken measures to soundproof one of our studios.

CAN I BRING MY OWN LIGHTING?

Yes. You can bring your own lighting equipment. Just please note the electrical requirements of the lights so we have proper power on stand by (see electrical notes below).

WHAT'S THE MAX VOLTAGE FOR THE STUDIO?

100amp

WILL SOMEONE BE AT THE STUDIO TO HELP ME SET UP?

Somebody will be on the property to open up the studio space but your crew will be responsible for setting up your shoot and returning the studio back to the way you found it. For an additional fee you can hire one of our staff members to help set up your project.

DO YOU HAVE AN ASSISTANT I CAN HIRE FOR THE DAY TO HELP ME WITH LIGHTING/EQUIPMENT?

DO YOU HAVE A VIDEOGRAPHER OR PHOTOGRAPHER ON HAND?

DO YOU HAVE MODELS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE OR CAN YOU HELP ME FIND SOME?

DO YOU ALLOW LONG-TERM BOOKINGS FOR MORE THAN A DAY/WEEK/MONTH?

Yes!

CAN WE REPAINT WALLS, CYC?

Yes you can repaint any wall in our studio but there is a repaint a fee of to return the space as it was when you found it.

CAN WE MOVE THINGS AROUND?

Yes but you must return everything back to the way it was when you started your booking.

CAN WE SHIP STUFF TO YOUR STUDIO FOR OUR SHOOT?

The studio can accept deliveries at 5709 Cahuenga Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601. Regular booking team office hours are 8AM - 6PM. Please note that for any large/heavy items being delivered or stored at the studio, your crew is responsible for scheduling PAs to oversee deliveries that require heavy lifting or any rearrangement of furniture.

WHat is your cancellation policy?

Standard 30 day: - Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price.

- Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price.

- Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable.

DO YOU HAVE A BREAK ROOM, PLACE TO EAT, PUT OUR FOOD?

Yes! There is a functional kitchen on site and you’re allowed to eat in studio as long as you keep the space tidy. Any spills might result in a cleaning fee.

DO YOU HAVE A MAKEUP/DRESSING ROOM?​

There’s a vanity station on site and two bathrooms available to change in.

HOW TALL IS YOUR LOADING DOOR FOR BRINGING IN LARGE PIECES?

N/A

IS NUDITY ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO?

Yes.

DO YOU HAVE PRIVATE ROOMS FOR OFFICES/MEETINGS?

Our studio includes two stages, a kitchen area, two bathrooms, and a storefront. Any studio not being used during your rental is available for private meetings.

WHAT CAN YOUR SPACE BE RENTED FOR?​

Our space can be rented out for photo and video shoots, corporate and private events, pop up events, and a physical space to sell any merchandise.

HOW MANY BATHROOMS/SHOWERS DO YOU HAVE?

 

We have 2 bathrooms and one shower on site. One bathroom is single use (handicap), the other has three stalls, and a functioning shower.

DO YOU OFFER SECURITY?

 

While we do not have on-site security staff, our studio is equipped with 24/7 video surveillance, a security system, a locked and well-lit gated parking lot, and automatic locking front and back doors. In case of an emergency, you can call 911 or press our security system's emergency button to alert the police.

DOES MY START AND END TIME INCLUDE SETUP AND BREAKDOWN?

Yes, your start times begins when your scheduled booking starts and ends when the last person from your team leaves.

WILL I BE CHARGED FOR OVERTIME?​

If you go over your scheduled booking time you will be charged 1.5x the hourly rate for the first 2 hours. 2x the hourly rate for any additional hour thereafter.

CAN I BRING IN ALCOHOL?

Yes but no underage drinking is allowed.

CAN I SMOKE IN YOUR STUDIO?

No you can not smoke inside but we have a designated smoking area in our parking lot. No e-cigarette smoking or vaping is allowed inside.

DOES YOUR STUDIO HAVE NATURAL LIGHTING?

Yes, all of our studios, except for the kitchen and two bathrooms, feature natural lighting through windows and/or skylights. 

DO YOU HAVE BLACK OUT OPTIONS FOR WINDOWS?​

Yes.

DO YOU HAVE HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING?

Yes.

CAN WE PLAY MUSIC?

Yes but we must remain courtesy to our owners and neighbors. Music may not exceed excessive volume.

DO YOU HAVE WIFI?

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

No unless approved for a photo shoot or filming.
